请翻到《新托福写作真经6》的Page 278 找到Reading Passage，对应的Recording Script在Page 343-4。
The reading passage and the lecture argue over the possible locations of the disappearance of Rome’s Ninth Legion.
第一句话写到阅读和听力的冲突关键： Scotland is the first contentious (“引发分歧的”) candidate (引申意为“候选的地点”). 接下里分别简述阅读和听力所述的“为什么”：（当描述因果关系的时候，可用的句型是）The reading attributes the disappearance to （措辞难点：用名词性短语的形式陈述原文中句子的内容） the fight between Roman troopers and the Scottish rebellions, and argues that since Scotland is where the battle took place, it is believed to be the location of disappearance. The lecturer is, in an implicit way, skeptical about this proposed location with the reason that remains of the weapons that would have been left on the battlefield have not been found in Scotland.

The lecture counter-argues, （内容难点：说明原因的信息勿丢：）since the oven used to make the tiles and bricks hard was not found near the fort, that, the tiles may have been transported to the Netherlands rather than have been made in the Netherlands by the legion’s troopers.
With a roof tile bearing the symbol of the Ninth Legion discovered （模块1: 独立主格结构形式的状语）, 然后主谓宾（名词性从句做宾语）：the reading believes that the legion’s soldiers used the tile to repair the roof of a Netherlands-based Roman fort when they fought there （模块2: 宾语从句：由状语从句+主句构成，于是包含大量信息）and （再并列一个名词性从句坐宾语：） that the soldiers were heavily defeated and vanished there（模块3: 宾语从句）.
The lecture contradicts the reading passage about the third purported location. According to the reading, Judea is believed to be a possible location because blah blah blah. This theory is rebutted/refuted by the lecture, as the lecturer argues blah blah blah.
