lt is generally known that people bearing greater responsibilities in organizations earn moredecent incomes than all levels of their subordinates. This rule is regarded as the basis bycertain groups yet others, limited by their visions, find it unacceptable.
lt is a must to award senior positions with higher salaries. Leaders in their groups shoulderoverall and normally heavy duties, with which they make essential decisions and strategiesto guarantee rapid development. Without a definitive direction，efforts of commonmembers will be wasted or even act against the benefits of their group. To ensure the coursefor targets, management teams are required to cope with relationships and resolve tensionsinternal and external so that everyone’s force can congregate and result in higher potency.Taking an example in business context, a project manager in charge of a product needs toassure staff in marketing department able to elaborate on the merits of the product tocustomers and, at the same time extends the channels in sales department, all of whichmake the position of manager challenging, multiline and mentally exhausting.
However, the efforts and challenges above-mentioned are obscure. lt was so obscured tonotice that regular employees may easily fall into the illusion that their contributions areequal and sometimes exceed their superiors’ , which should be reflected in their incomes.Another part of the story is that directors giving consideration in all aspects usually seekadvice from their specialized followers and the consultation also conveys a message ofbosses not being professional.As a result, their expertise seems to be more valuable andwell-paid.
From my prospective,l believe directors deserve high income for greater duties and, inorder to convert the image of over-paid incompetence, a more transparent work flow can bedisplayed, reducing the dissatisfaction and communication costs at the same time.
